Hard pressed lick blocks provide benefits in certain circumstances:

  • They are often more suitable for absentee managers,
  • The blocks can handle inclement weather therefore not requiring full covered feed troughs,
  • Consumption rates are normally lower than on loose lick which can be of benefit if sheep are in a traditionally high consumption area.

Directions for Use: Allow free access by stock.

Feeding Rates: 10-15grams per head per day

Notes on feeding: Locate blocks away from watering points to avoid over-consumption and to encourage stockt to graze out, utilising the available paddock feed.

Urea: Where indicated these blocks contain urea and may be toxic if taken in excess. Feed with adequate dry roughage. Do not feed to starving stock or any animals other than sheep or cattle.

Sheep: It is recommended that sheep do not have access to blocks with urea higher than 10%.
